Collingham Place

Collingham Place runs between Bolton Gardens and Courtfield Gardens. It contains a mixture of architectural styles. In particular the terrace on the south west side contains some most attractive red-brick five-storey buildings all designed in a slightly different but very interesting style. They overlook an attractive rear communal garden.

William Jackson was the main builder in Collingham Place. On the northern side of the road he built Nos. 1-9 in 1871 and Nos. 11-19 in 1973-4. At the same time he started the opposite range with Nos. 2-10 (even).

In 1874-5 F & J Gait, builders, continued the northern range with Nos. 21-33 (odd) and the southern range with Nos. 12-30 (even).

Joseph Frewing, another builder built Nos. 35-41 (odd), also in 1874-5.
